Op 12 en 13 december vindt de vijfde editie van Oorzaken Festival plaats. Vlaams Cultuurhuis de Brakke Grond in Amsterdam wordt dan omgetoverd tot bruisende festivallocatie waar je op de Makersdag masterclasses volgt van je favoriete podcastmakers en de rest van het weekend premières bijwoont en grensverleggende geluidswandelingen, audio-installaties en theater beleeft.

Of je nou podcastmaker, schrijvend journalist, theatermaker of iets anders bent: het belooft een prachtig programma te worden! Niemand minder dan Nancy Updike (This American Life, Serial), Talia Augustidis (UnReality/In The Dark) en Yasmina Hamlawi (Pearl) maken acte de presence. Samen met nog vele, vele anderen.

Grab your Early Bird Ticket for the Makers day December 12 now!

On December 12 and 13, 2025, the fifth edition of Oorzaken Festival will take place. Flemish cultural center De Brakke Grond in Amsterdam will be transformed into a vibrant festival venue, where you can attend masterclasses from your favourite podcast creators on the Makers day, and spend the rest of the weekend enjoying premières, groundbreaking sound walks, audio installations and theater.

Whether you’re a podcast maker, journalist, theatre creator or something else entirely: there’s a wonderful program waiting for you! None other than Nancy Updike (This American Life, Serial), Talia Augustidis (UnReality/In The Dark) and Yasmina Hamlawi (Pearl) will me making appearances, alongside many, many others.
